POSITION DESCRIPTION
DEPARTMENT: Institutional
Advancement SITE: DO
SALARY SCHEDULE: Career - GRADE: 4
BASIC FUNCTION:
Operates a computer to
design and create a variety of art work to be published and utilized by the
college in the institutional advancement program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
v
Performs
computer graphic design utilizing various programs from the design concept to
final product.
v
Meets
with department staff to plan for printed materials that will promote
enrollment and provide information to students and the community.
v
Responsible
for specific art projects on an on-going basis or for specific projects.
v
Performs
desktop publishing, layout and design of artwork, computer typesetting and
styling.
v
Participates
in planning of marketing campaigns by contributing ideas.
v
Records
the status of jobs. Maintains files of jobs in progress and in design stage.
v
Assists
the Supervisor in special projects and in providing direction to others in the
unit.
v
Performs
related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
AA degree in Graphics
Design.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) years experience in
production art and working with printers, including computer experience.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of computer
graphics and page layout. Knowledge of computer software used in the graphics
arts field. Knowledge of the techniques used in graphic arts. Ability to design
art projects. Ability to operate a computer. Ability to begin and complete
projects. Drafting skills. Interpersonal skills. Proofreading skills.
