BASIC FUNCTION:
This position provides organizational
assistance to the manager of the SPJC INFORMATION Call Center; serves students,
prospective students and staff by answering general questions and routing
calls; and provides general training and mentoring to OPS employees in the
Information Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
v
Provides
information and referrals to the public, students, and faculty via telephone,
mail and the web.
v
Provides
organizational assistance in the Information Center.
v
Processes and
answers inquiries regarding departmental operations, functions, contacting
institutional personnel, instructors and request for college material.
v
Inputs data into
the prospect database.
v
Organizes
follow-up projects related to recruitment and retention in the Information
Center.
v
Provides general
assistance at college recruitment events.
v
Performs related
duties as required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited high school or
possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Familiarity with the Regis System and student
records. Ability to gain knowledge of the rules and procedures of the unit to
which assigned. communication skills. Customer service kills. Knowledge of sentence
and word usage. Skill in reading comprehension. Skill in proofreading.
Knowledge of basic mathematics. Ability to maintain good relationships with the
public, students, faculty and staff. Ability to operate a computer.
