POSITION DESCRIPTION

SALARY SCHEDULE: Career - GRADE: 1
BASIC FUNCTION:
Performs advanced duties in
various trade areas as a helper.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
v
Assists
skilled personnel in the construction, maintenance, HVAC, electrical trades as
a helper.
v
Performs
advanced helper and specialized work relative to electrical wiring, plumbing,
HVAC, carpentry, masonry, painting, plastering, and other areas of
construction, maintenance and renovations.
v
Delivers
mail at a campus location or other site.
v
Assists
with moving furniture and equipment.
v
Performs
related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an
accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Six months related helper
experience. In lieu of experience, may have appropriate education in a trade or
technical school or similar institution.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of basic
mathematics. Skill in reading comprehension. Ability to climb ladders. Ability
to pass a post qualification physical examination. Must possess a CDL Class
"D" Florida Driver's License.
